The Amigos del Sol Club was formed August 10th 2001 and all our members like the sunny world and the warmth our Sun gives to us. Sun means life on our planet.
Most of our members also have interest in the Spanish language besides studying Spanish.
Our main activity is a monthly reunion, where we meet in a warm social atmosphere. This activity is complemented with trips and visits to warm places where we recharge our life batteries with solar energy.
All of us work in an aid project ”Adopt a little school in the Andes” where we send periodically to the orphan children: teaching and educational material departing from color pencils to paper, to whatever we get. To date we have three schools, in Peru, Colombia and Nicaragua.
We believe that when we educate our children, we are giving to them an opportunity to become world citizens which sometimes is polarized and chaotic. Through education we could minimize distances.
